The principal objective of the project consisted in the production of an Advanced Supplementary Curriculum (ASC) and assessment regime across Mathematics, Science, English and ICT, which schools deliver together with the Ministry of Education's national curriculum, for grades 4-12.

Each aspect of the project was subject to strict guidelines and requirements necessary to achieve the desired outcomes set by Mawhiba’s scientific and mathematical teams. This comprised of engaging and appealing design along with accurate, top quality content translation from English to Arabic, subject to stringent educational accuracy, cultural requirements and strict deadlines . This complex translation involved a rigorous process of adherence to the Kingdom's culture and dialect, whilst maintaining the academic terminology and content.

The production volume, the stringent translation process and the timelines required a wide spectrum of services to be delivered by an efficient management team.

Gigavine was selected to deliver the design and translation of the ASC content developed by the Nord Anglia Education academic experts. Gigavine was assigned with this challenging task based on its solid technical expertise in delivering complex multinational communication projects with utmost efficiency and optimal accuracy.

The production process involved graphic design, desktop publishing, En/Ar translation and localisation of the curriculum and assessment materials.

With a dedicated team of linguists, Designers and Typesetters, the project manager ran the process smoothly with the help of our dedicated secure Mawhiba portal. The original materials was submitted through the platform, typeset in the layouts and frames, then converted into the suitable format for translation, proofreading, review, localisation, and through to the final approval process. Our Linguists, Designers, Proofreaders, and Consultants were all connected to the platform as well as the Mawhiba’s team and the scientists. This had a major impact on reducing timescales typically involved with large-volume projects that allowed us to focus on maintaining high quality.

Gigavine support team is composed of creative designers, media and communication experts and professional native linguistic with experience in the Education Industry. Dedicated management team with knowledge in all related aspects. Nevertheless, each member also possesses the dedication required for effective on time delivery.

Handling Volume under control

Each month, 150,000 words are translated, 20 Books (Average 40 Pages each) are published once in English and the same volume is Localised and Typeset to be produced in Arabic.

Results

The books are printed and there's a great feedback from the teachers and the students enjoying their new books and activities. At the moment there are 80 books printed, and 240 more to come covering all grades and subjects.
